I wrote in my last blog entry about how busy this August has been compared to previous ones. Usually in August I start to twiddle my thumbs and wish the month away so that things can get back to normal in September after the holiday season. Everything seems to shut down, people are away on holiday, the kids are off school and I find there is a general apathy out there.
I can’t believe how busy I’ve been this August. Work has been really busy, I’ve been through the mill along with my parents settling my beloved Aunty Maria into a nursing home, albeit a temporary one while a permanent one is found for her and I’ve tried to go out with Poppy to as many things as possible to socialise her. We often go to the car boot sales near where I live and she loves going to Costa. Whenever I go and catch up with my friends or for a coffee with my Dad I always take her, she sits as good as gold outside with me and watches the world go by. She’s brought so much happiness and joy to my life it is untrue.
In my last blog I said I would update on what I want to do going forward. I have missed writing a lot, so I am definitely going to be doing a lot more of it. I will of course be keeping this blog as up to date as I can, but I’ve been thinking about starting a lifestyle, positive thinking and self-care website/blog for some time now. I think now is the time to launch it.
“Happiness Personified” will be launched next month, and will be very much a “life after loss” type blog full of positive articles, affirmations, self-care hints/tips, reviews and much more. The strapline for my new blog will simply be “One Life….Live It!” I want anyone who finds “Happiness Personified” to be inspired to live their lives to the very best of their abilities, because we only have one life, and no matter what happens to us, we need to try and find the strength to carry on and live it. The website address is www.happinesspersonified.co.uk, and there will be accompanying social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube.
I also want to give my PR and marketing consultancy website a new look and feel, which I plan to do by the end of next month, and I’ve also had an idea for a new division. “Pawtastic PR & Marketing” will be launched, which aims to provide affordable promotion, PR and marketing solutions for vets, pets and dog related businesses. I’ve also had an idea to launch an online magazine for all things dog related called “Barking Times”, I’ve already registered the domain name and that’s a project for the winter months when the weather is bad and I’m stuck indoors more.
I said before that I’ve started many things while trying to find my niche, the things that I love to do because they don’t feel like work to me, and that inspire me. For the first time in a long time, I am feeling very positive and inspired. I love anything and everything to do with dogs, so anything I can do in that arena makes me very happy indeed. I will be able to keep Frankie’s memory alive in this blog as well, which is a huge bonus.
I’ve got some hard work and challenges ahead, but I’m more than ready and prepared for them as I move into the next phase of my life. A life without my son Frankie, and without ever being the mother to a baby and child, but one that is just as rewarding, happy and fulfilling as the mother to my beautiful furbaby Poppy.
