Counting Down To The Launch Of Frankie’s Legacy As A Charity

I cannot believe how much Frankie’s Legacy as a charity is taking off. The reason I haven’t written so much for this blog in recent weeks, apart from to keep it updated with what’s going on with the launch event next week, is that the local and regional press here...

Making Memory Boxes For Bereaved Parents

I haven’t posted as much on here as I usually do recently, not because I don’t want to, but because my husband is going through a very stressful time work wise and because of it I’ve had a bad case of writers’ block.  We support each other through thick and thin and...

Time Oh Give Me Time….

I cannot believe how busy I’ve been this last couple of weeks.  Not only have I been busy promoting Frankie’s Legacy and busy with my work with BT but I’ve also launched the Worcestershire Bereavement Support Group this last week.  And it has all taken its toll on me....

Rev’d David Southall In The Worcester News

Our good friend and friend of Frankie's Legacy, Rev'd David Southall, is in today's Worcester News talking about the @WeChaplains Twitter account he's set up.  The twitter feed has attracted over 1,100 followers and sits alongside the WeNurses and WeMidwives twitter...

How Things Change….

I can’t believe how much my life has changed in just a year.  This time last year I was knee deep in plans and preparations for getting married to my wonderful husband Russell.  We decided that we didn’t want a big wedding so we booked the registry office at County...

Frankie’s Legacy Business Networking & Launch Event

We are inviting the business community in Worcestershire to attend the launch of Frankie's Legacy to find out about us, what our charitable aims are and to enjoy a business networking session at the same time. Tickets cost £10.00 to include a drink and nibbles, and...

New Midwife Led Unit At The Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I saw this article in today's Worcester News, and it is about time that the Worcestershire Royal Hospital had a midwife led delivery suite.  This really is brilliant news and underpins much of the fundraising that we are going to be doing to improve the...

The Missing Date

Right now I’m really upset. I’m upset because there is no February 29th and therefore no way of me being able to acknowledge the three month anniversary of Frankie being born sleeping.   When I realised this I was beside myself – how was I going to be able to...

Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS – Frankie’s Mummy & Founder of Frankie’s Legacy

Frankie was a small pebble dropped into the lake of life…but his ripple will be felt forever…

My blog “Frankie’s Legacy: Love, Loss Grief & Recovery” focuses on raising awareness of early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, neonatal death, cleft lip/palate and rare chromosome disorders.

My much loved and much wanted son Francesco “Frankie” Enrico Ventura was born sleeping on 29/11/2013 and had a severe cleft lip/palate, talipes and an extremely rare chromosome disorder (chromosome 15 duplication syndrome).

This blog focuses on my journey as an empty armed mother, and about how I am surviving stillbirth, celebrating Frankie and creating his lasting legacy as best I can.

With much love,

Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS
