Tomorrow sees the start of Cleft Lip & Palate Awareness Week, which runs from May 9-17 and is organised by the Cleft Lip & Palate Association charity. The week aims to raise as much awareness as possible and funds for CLAPA which include sponsored walks across the UK and lots of social media and press activity.
I have a series of blog posts and interviews planned on “Frankie’s Legacy” during the week to raise awareness of cleft lip and palate in Frankie’s memory, and posts will include a “Spotlight On…CLAPA”, my story and Frankie’s story relating to his cleft diagnosis, interviews with 2 CLAPA volunteers and hopefully I will have an interview with some of the staff at CLAPA too.
Stay tuned as well for a very special write up and hopefully interview about a very special little French bulldog with a cleft lip and palate whose mission is to make you smile and is now an “ambassadog” for children and people with cranial facial differences.
If you have a baby or child with a cleft lip/palate, and would like to contribute to “Frankie’s Legacy” with a guest post during the awareness week, I would love to hear from you. Email me via lisa@frankieslegacy.co.uk, and let’s raise as much awareness of cleft lip and palate as possible.
