Thank You Urban Prints Worcester For Supporting Frankie’s Legacy!

I am immensely grateful to my friend Noel Ferris and his shop Urban Prints in Worcester who are kindly sponsoring the production of a couple of T-shirts for Frankie's Legacy.  As a brand new small charity we are extremely grateful for any help and support, and we...

£1057.62 Raised For The Cleft Lip & Palate Association

Yesterday my husband and I met up with the lovely Becky Gowers from the Cleft Lip & Palate Association Charity (CLAPA) so we could give her the money we raised for them.  Becky is the Regional Coordinator for CLAPA covering the Midlands.  We were over the moon to...

Frankie’s Legacy As A Charity – Goals For 2014

With January almost over already we thought this would be a good time to give everyone an update on where we are with the launch of Frankie’s Legacy as a charity.  Our governing document and constitution has been finalised along with our charitable aims, and we are...

Frankie’s Due Date

Today is Frankie’s due date.  This should have been a time of excitement and hope.  Of me wondering if every little twinge was the start of labour and whether he was finally on his way.  I should still be heavily pregnant, feeling fat and unwieldy waddling along...

Lighting Candles In Memory Of Two Angels

My husband and I did go for a walk into town earlier, and we went to Worcester Cathedral and lit two candles, one for our precious Frankie and one for Mikaeel Kulmar:                           I also...

A Nation United In Grief – RIP Mikaeel Kular

I’m sure that many of you reading this will be aware of a 3 year old little boy called Mickaeel Kular who lived in Edinburgh.  On Wednesday no-one had ever heard this name, yet by Thursday he was known all over the world.  According to his mother, she put him to bed...

Frankie’s Legacy Business Cards

I am absolutely over the moon with this business card that my husband has done for me ready to start talking about and launching Frankie's Legacy as a charity.  They are absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier with them. Thank you so much xxxxx

Frankie & Chromosome 15 Duplication Syndrome – Part 2

As a carrier of Chromosome 15 Duplication Syndrome, if that is indeed the case, I have more questions than I have answers to, for example: Were any of the 6 miscarriages I had linked to Chromosome 15 Duplication Syndrome?  They were put down to my ex-husband having...

Frankie & Chromosome 15 Duplication Syndrome – Part 1

Some of you who read this blog regularly will probably remember this entry, where I talk about the devastating news that my husband and I received from the Genetics team at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.  If Frankie had lived and been born, he would have severe mental...

Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS – Frankie’s Mummy & Founder of Frankie’s Legacy

Frankie was a small pebble dropped into the lake of life…but his ripple will be felt forever…

My blog “Frankie’s Legacy: Love, Loss Grief & Recovery” focuses on raising awareness of early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, neonatal death, cleft lip/palate and rare chromosome disorders.

My much loved and much wanted son Francesco “Frankie” Enrico Ventura was born sleeping on 29/11/2013 and had a severe cleft lip/palate, talipes and an extremely rare chromosome disorder (chromosome 15 duplication syndrome).

This blog focuses on my journey as an empty armed mother, and about how I am surviving stillbirth, celebrating Frankie and creating his lasting legacy as best I can.

With much love,

Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS
